An early nineteenth century country made elow chair of ash,elm,yew,beech and pinewood.Probably from the Thames Valley.
It is possible that this chair was originally stained all over black which would account for the different types of wood used.
Legs have probably been re-tipped which is very common.
A very charming chair in sound order.

There are some gouges in the arm support(see photo).No idea why. You may return a purchase within 14 days for a refund if you are not happy with it,but you will have to pay the full cost of return postage/carriage.The item must be returned undamaged.
