Early French empire mahogany mirror back console
Understated elegant early mirror back French Empire period mahogany console with a Belgium fossil marble top over a frieze draw with oak liner and patinated bronze neoclassical escutcheon and rare clover leaf bolt lock and key raised on pilaster supports and Tuscan order columns with patinated bronze engine turned capitols and bases on a flat base and low feet.
Excellent colour and patina throughout with original finish foxed mirror plate minor historic restorations and later backboard extinct worm treated as a precaution
