Dutch Silver Decorative Caddy Spoon, 1905

This is a good quality Dutch 833 Silver Caddy Spoon from the early 20th century, the Edwardian period in Britain. It has a traditional tavern scene embossed in the bowl of the caddy spoon, a decorative stem with figures and scrolls and an articulated windmill finial.
The spoon has the makers' mark DH2, which we have not been able to identify and is dated for 1905. It is made in 833 / 1000 grade silver, which was the Dutch second silver standard at the time.
Condition is very good with no dings, dents or splits and only the minimal surface wear you would expect after around 115 years of service. The sails of the windmill are securely attached and rotate easily. Please make sure to view all the photographs.
The caddy spoon is 12cm / 4.75" long and weighs a very respectable 26.4g / 0.93oz of solid silver.
The Dutch hallmarks in the bowl of the spoon are on the edge of the embossed design and are clear to read. They show the lion passant facing right with a number 2 underneath for 833 grade silver, the gothic date letter "v" for 1905 and the DH2 in a lozenge makers' mark.
Shipping in the UK is £4 by Royal Mail 1st Class Signed For.
