Dutch Marquetry Cylinder Topped Desk
Dutch marquetry cylinder topped desk
A stylish Dutch marquetry cylinder topped desk. The rectangular shaped desk is in rosewood which has faded nicely to a warm mid colour. The sides, gables and legs are smothered in typical Dutch marquetry.
The cylinder of the desk has a big bouquet of flowers in the centre and from this there is flowers flowing from it. When the top pulls back, a leather writing surface is revealed with interior drawers and compartments are also decorated with marquetry. The whole piece stands on four elegant but simple cabriole legs.

Condition is Excellent, only minor nicks and scratches as you might expect, the cylinder movement is a little stiff. Come and see before you buy. We do not arrange furniture shipment, but are happy to fit in with arrangements you wish to make.
