This is a stylish Mid-Century Cut Glass Ice Bucket with Silver Plated rim, handle and strainer together with a Pair of Silver Plated Ice Tongs. The body of the bucket is deep cut with stems and leaves insterspersed with dimpled circles and the base is star cut. The strainer at the bottom is pierced and stands on three legs. The tongs have scalloped arms and flat Art Deco style fan bowls.

There is no makers' mark on the bucket or the tongs, just the MADE IN ENGLAND stamp. It dates to around the 1950s or early 1960s.

Condition is extremely good, with no chips or cracks in the glass, no dings or dents in the silver plate and no significant plate loss. Please make sure to view all the photographs.

The bucket stands 23cm / 9ins high with the handle in the upright position and is 11.9cm / 4.7ins in diameter across the top rim. The tongs are 18.5cm / 7.3ins long. All together the bucket and tongs weigh in at 931g / 32.8oz.
