This Continental marquetry bombe commode was made circa 1920.
The chest is fitted 3 drawers each with its original gilt brass handles.
It is of a wonderful serpentine and bombe shape inlaid with foliate marquetry in panels.
The original cast gilt brass corner mounts and toes add that extra bit of interest.
The rouge shaped marble top adds to its practicality as you can put a vase of flowers on the top without thinking about water staining it.
