very handsome carved oak Davenport desk.
The top with recessed letter rack and two cut glass inkwells, hinged fall front with leather writing surface opening to a baize lined interior with two drawers and two dummy drawers, three drawers to one side and three dummy drawers to the other, all with lion mask handles, fabulous foliate carved column supports and raised on plinth base.
some wear and tear commensurate with age and use but overall this super Davenport is a very eye catching, well carved piece of decorative yet functional antique furniture, very substantial and solidly constructed in good condition.
