A superb Intricately Carved Early Victorian Gothic Oak Bookcase
The upper section of the Bookcase has a glazed door enclosing 2 adjustable book shelves, these have a carved front edge. The Top of the piece has a large and elaborately carved cornice and there is a great amount of carving on the front everything from intricately carved roundels decorating the arched door to lion’s masks and paws and figures and faces from mythology
The carvings on the lower section of the bookcase are even more intricate, it has a drawer and the interior of the cupboard is shelved
The Bookcase has a solid back it is in sound condition apart from age related wear, it separates into 2 for transportation
