A superb quality burr walnut partners writing desk in the queen Anne style. Of generous proportions and of excellent construction in solid walnut with attractive burr walnut veneers onto an oak carcas. The top has an inverted break front and is fitted with sumptuous red leather writing surfaces. There is an arrangement of one long central drawer, flanked by two pairs of graduated drawers. All drawers are cross banded, fitted with their original solid brass hardware and are lockable (keys supplied). The rear of the desk has the same drawer arrangement but the drawers are "dummies". All standing on 8 elegant cabriole legs with carved shell motifs to the knees. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops and now offered for sale in excellent condition, with a great colour and patina, ready to go straight into the home or office.
