Black lacquered Bobbin turned corner chair
Fabulous and in good original condition black lacquered bobbin chair with a rush seat, circa 1880.
Very decorative chair and the black lacquer has cleaned up beautifully, then has a few coats of beeswax to give it a mellow shine.
The rush seat is in good condition and the frame is solid, so this is a seat that you can sit on!
Also, this chair will sit in a hall corner and look great too if you just want to look at it.
Measuring:
28 inches or 71 cm high
16 1/2 inches or 42 cm wide
15 inches or 38 cm seat height Based in Uppingham, Rutland…having been in the business for 25 years focusing on mostly French and English decorative antiques and interiors from the 18th to the early 20th century, hopefully a collection you will enjoy browsing and hopefully re home some of my finds!
Viewing here in Uppingham is very welcome in my spacious barn studio but also I have a showroom based within the Uppingham Antiques Centre, which is well worth a visit and have a good lunch in town too!
