This is a very attractive Victorian overmantle mirror with magnificent central griffin crest. The attractively detailed frame has beautiful gilded highlights which have a rich quality and depth. The mirror dates from around 1860 and has a very clean plate glass which is in excellent condition with no blemishes. The mirror frame itself is in good sound condition and this is a good size measuring 5 feet in height (152cms) by 33" wide (84 cms). These are the maximum extremities of the piece.
