A framed set of 25 early 19th century plaster cast intaglios of classical poets, architects, buildings etc. The frame contains twenty seven casts mostly in excellent condition. Also included is the original “catalogo” in Italian which identifies the subject matter of each cast by number. At bottom right of the catalogue are details of the studio where they the casts were produced. Bartolomeo Paoletti and his son Pietro, an artist in his own right operated from an address in Rome at the Piazza Spagna up to 1847. Two of the casts listed in the catalogue are absent. The glazed frame measures 47 by 36.5 cms. Condition is good overall, with just one or two of the intaglios with some nibbles.
