Australian a hardwood throwing club, c1890
Lovely 19th century Australian Aboriginal/First Nation throwing club, c1890.
Commonly referred to as a Waddy, a-a or Boondi, these are hardwood clubs used as a weapon in combat or more commonly as a throwing stick for hunting.
This is a genuine example, lovely primitive hand chip carving, heavy for its size at 0.48kg with great colour/patina.
Overall condition is good, there is a hairline crack along one side but very minor and historic. Please refer to the detailed photographs and feel free to contact us if you would like to view the item or have any questions.
