Arts & Crafts bobbin turned nursing chair c1870-1900.
This is a late Victorian Arts and Crafts bobbin turned nursing chair with bergere seat. This style was directly revived as a vernacluar style by Philip Webb for the company of Morris, Marshall, Falulkner & Co which later became just Morris & Co. Philip Webb's chair design for Morris, Marshal, Falulkner & Co used this style of bobbin turning for its embelishment on the reclining chair he designed in the arts & crafts style. This is a cometemporary chair to that period in great condition.
