Art Deco Coffee Spoons x 6, Arthur Price, 1932

A very distinctive cased set of 6 Art Deco Sterling Silver coffee spoons from the reign of George V. The spoons have a feature pointed end to the stems with thread decoration on both the topside and the underside. They are made by Arthur Price & Co in Birmingham and date to 1932. Arthur Price founded his silversmith company in Birmingham in 1902. After his death in 1935 the business was continued by his two sons Arthur & Frederick and is still operating under the control of the Price family today.
This set of coffee spoons is in very good condition with no dings or dents and just the minimal wear you would expect after nearly 90 years of use. The box is also in remarkably good condition with just one very small scuff mark on the front left corner. The two catches on the front are both in full working order. Please make sure to view all the photographs.
The hallmarks on the underside of the stems are well struck and very clear to read. They are the lion passant for Sterling Silver, the anchor assay mark for Birmingham, the date letter "H" for 1932 and the A.P & Co makers' mark for Arthur Price & Co.
The spoons are each 10.8cm long and the full set of 6 (unboxed) weighs in at 59g of solid sterling silver.
Shipping in the UK is £6 by Royal Mail 1st Class Signed For Parcel Post.
