A smart and extremely good looking yew wood desk in the antique military campaign style. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1930’s.
It is really well made and has a fantastic design. The leather top section has three drawers on the front and a finished back, so can be used as a free standing item. The black leather top is gold tooled, there are lovely brass military style handles on the drawer and on the sides.
The base has a striking X frame design, with a solid brass stretcher, the legs are beautifully turned from solid wood and are doubled up on each corner, giving this extra stability & a great look.
The colour and grain patterns are gorgeous, we have just had this re-polished, so the condition is excellent for its age. The top unbolts and detaches from the base for ease of transport.
