Antique Victorian Mahogany Swivel Desk Chair
A superb original antique Victorian period swivel desk chair in mahogany. This has a strong arts and crafts influence, it dates from the 1880’s.
In fact, this very interesting piece has an original brass plaque on the back rest, from when it was presented as a Christmas gift in 1884! It is hard to make out the text in the middle due to rubbing of the brass, but it is possible to read the date.
The quality of this chair is exceptional, it is finely sculpted from solid mahogany and swivel smoothly on its base.
The condition is excellent for its age, with no damage and a gorgeous patina to the mahogany.

Height – 35 inches , 89 cm
