A very smart and well made antique writing table / desk in mahogany. This was made in England, it dates from the 1840-1850 period.

It is of lovely quality and is a very useful size. The inset leather top is hand coloured with tooled edges, this has a nicely finished back so can be used as a free standing item. The legs are beautifully turned and sit on porcelain casters, there are two drawers beneath the top with recessed handles under the drawer fronts.

We have had this recently re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age. There are just some small marks and indentations beneath the polish here and there, commensurate for age.
