Antique Victorian Mahogany Chiffonier Secretaire
Superb and Unusual Antique Victorian Mahogany Chiffonier with Secretaire and dating from aorund 1880. Constructed from quality mahogany it has a serpentine shaped back with carved and moulded scroll edge and with squared edge to the top above a deep fold down panelled drawer front with original turned mahogany handles which opens to reveal a lovely interior of satinwood drawer fronts with small mahogany knob handles and various pigeon holes and with original velvet writing surface. To the base there are carved acanthus leaf corbal supports either side of two panelled doors and with internal shelf. It stands on a deep plinth base.
Measures 52" high to top x 36" high to top of base x knee height 25" x 17" deep x 39" wide
In very good condition with a lovely deep colour and patination to the quality mahogany and oozing all the charm and character of the period.
