A very nice Antique, Victorian, Gentleman's Silver Pocket Watch by John McGilvray of Oban.
The English Lever movement is in good condition and working order, signed by the maker "John McGilvray, Oban".It has a nicely engraved balance cock and diamond endstone. It is complete with dustcover. Key wind and set with the key provided.
The silver case is in good condition. It is hallmarked with the case maker's mark "IH", the Lion passant sterling silver mark, the Chester town mark and date letter "F" for 1889/90.
The dial is in good condition buy has a couple of faint short hairlines and minor blemish under the sub seconds dial (see photo)
