Antique Silver Pair Cased Verge Pocket Watch

Silver pair cases, verge - William Halliwell, Blackburn, 1792
MOVEMENT Gilt verge movement, with engraved and pierced balance cock. Blued screws and large silvered regulator disk. Fully signed and numbered (602). Good condition, with just some scratches around the pillar top. Running well.
DIAL 46 mm. White enamel 'doctors' dial, with overlapping chapters. In good condition with no repairs, some nibbles around the edge and a few light scratches.
INNER CASE 49.5 mm, silver, hallmarked for Birmingham 1792, maker's mark WH. Light bruises to the back and at the base of the stem. The hinge is a little worn, but the bezel does snap shut. The stop lever which should be on the side of the case at 4 (to stop and start the movement) is missing. The high dome bull's eye crystal is fine.
OUTER CASE 57.9 mm, silver, matching hallmarks to the inner. The hinge and catch are fine, though the catch button is worn. Some light bruises on the back but otherwise fine throughout.
William Halliwell is listed in Blackburn, Lancashire in 1795. Free worldwide postage.
