Antique silver J G Graves pocket watch
An antique "Express" English Lever sterling silver pocket watch from J G Graves of Sheffield.
The watch has a key-winding movement which is working well. A winding key will be included. The watch was made by the Lancashire Watch Company and retailed by J G Graves. The movement is protected by a fitted inner dust cover.
The watch measures 52.4mm diameter excluding the stem and the loop. The case is sterling silver and there are hallmarks inside both of the case backs for Chester 1900, with a case maker's mark for J G Graves. The case has a couple of fairly small indentations but overall very acceptable for such an early piece.
The watch glass is in nice condition.
The enamel dial is signed The "Express" English Lever, J G Graves, Sheffield. The dial has a couple of minor surface marks but overall it is in nice condition. Blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track. (The minute hand is later although antique)
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
