Antique Russian Silver & Gold Cigarette Case
A Fine Quality Russian silver cigarette case, with hallmarks for 1908. Silvermaker is possibly Itska Lozinky (1892-1908).
Of rounded rectangular form, with sunburst ribbed decoration. This antique cigarette case is fitted with a finely engineered fully hallmarked, flush hinged cover, denoting an item of fine quality.
The cover is fitted with a hallmarked gold set, cabochon sapphire thumb piece.
Although slightly too early for art deco, this piece does have the look of deco design.
