Victorian English Reading Stand - Mahogany - c1870

A quality mahogany reading stand presented in excellent antique condition.

Rising from a teardrop base over bun feet and riding upon original hidden wide brass castors.

Versatile offering scope as a table over a bed or armchair, as a stand for ornaments or a lamp, or for simply as a display item.

With generous length centre column the stand will rise to a maximum height of 112cm (44.1") making it suitable as a lectern.

This robust stand benefits from a good sized platform, the upper face of which displays a very desirable and skilfully scripted inlay of Anna Maria.
