A good quality early Victorian figured mahogany secretaire chiffonier. The top section having a carved and scrolling upstand above the narrow shelf which is supported by carved “C” scrolls. The beautifully figured top with moulded edge above the secretaire drawer which opens to reveal a well fitted interior consisting of 8 pigeonholes, 2 drawers and a baize lined writing surface. The 2 arched panel doors open to a shelved interior and is flanked by moulded stiles with the whole raised on a plinth base. This unusual piece of 19th century furniture is in very good condition and has working brass locks & keys. Dimensions:- Max.Height…55.75''/ 142cm. Width…42.5''/ 108cm. Depth…20.25''/ 51.5cm.
