This is an attractive Savonorola Damascus hardwood armchair dating from around 1880. The chair is beautifully carved and inlaid throughout with star designs in Mother of Pearl and ebony. This has scroll arms and legs on bracket feet, and features a central finely turned bobbin design cartouche to the centre of the back. The chair is in good sound order and has a good antique colour. It stands 88 cms high 52 cms wide by 45 cms deep. The seat height is 42 cms from the floor.
