Verge movement
MOVEMENT : Nice quality gilded verge fusee movement, with blued screws, diamond endstone, and polished steel balance wheel. Signed and numbered (5241). All in good condition, except for a short crack in the wall of the mainspring barrel, though the barrel is still strong. Running well.
DIAL : Gold dial, with applied numerals. A few light scratches by generally good condition. Blued steel Breguet type hands.
CASE : Rubbed hallmarks for 18ct gold, London, 1824. The band, stem and bow are cast in high relief, and the back is engine turned with a blank central cartouche. Good condition throughout, with just a couple of small bruises to the outer cover. The case snaps shut nicely and the crystal is fine.
The case (including crystal) weighs 24 gms.
