An very sweet little box made from brass or bronze beautifully cast with a floral and foliate decoration. The base and the lid is has a lovely twisted rope and ribbon border.

The top of the box is inset with a lovely polished tablet of banded agate. The lid has a clip to the front which keeps the lid firmly shut. Once opened the interior of the lid is revealed inset with the original little mirror and the box retaining the original velvet lining.

Dating to the late Victorian era, the box remains in excellent condition measuring 2 1/4" x 1 1/2" x 1 1/2".
