This is a super Antique 19th Century period Travelling Mahogany Grave, Short & Fanner Diamond Scales, made c1850. Inside the box in a separate compartment are all of the weights, both bowls are present and when holding them up they hang correctly.

The box is in good condition but does exhibit some age-related wear, which includes some wear to the edges and corners plus the box doesn’t close with the scales inside as there’s a tassel attached, otherwise the box does close with the button to the front being in working order, when pressed allows the lid to be opened. The box measures approximately 14cm by 7cm.
