A Beautiful and Rare Solid(935)Silver Chinese Calligrapher's Pen/Brush Washer, dating from the late Qing dynasty c.1890-1900.

Beautifully crafted in the form of a small frog sitting on an open lily flower with a decorated tendril leading to a small decorated lily pad. These are sitting on a delicately tapering stem marked with 4 Chinese Characters "奉天纹银", indicating the silver content.

This gorgeous small antique piece would be a wonderful addition to any collection. I have not cleaned the lovely old dark patina.
