This attractive George lll period English elbow chair offers classic Chippendale style and is presented in good antique condition.
Dating from around 1770 it will serve wonderfully as an office seat, bedroom chair, hallway feature, dining chair or morning room piece.
A well proportioned and classically styled carver chair with seat upholstered in a quality leather hide.
The chair is a quality example with a strong mahogany frame presenting a pleasingly structured back splat, serpentine top rail and flared corners.
Riding upon straight front legs and rising through turned arm supports with graciously curved arms.
The chair benefits from a warm tone to the mahogany with a supportive seat offering a rewarding seating experience with the useful seat height of 45cm (17.7") and width of 51cm (20.1").
The chair is solid of joint and an ideal chair for daily use.
