Antique Carved Figural Black Forest Thimble Case
A wonderful little thimble box, hand-carved in the form of a dog sporting his two original amber coloured glass eyes. The lid lifts to reveal the silver plated thimble within, fitting perfectly. One of the screws to the hinge looks to have been replaced.
Dating to around 1890, this charmer has a great antique patina and remains in superb condition. 2" x 1 3/4" x 2" tall.
