Antique Burr Walnut Leather Top Pedestal Desk
A large and impressive burr walnut desk in the antique Georgian style. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1930’s.
This is a fantastic size and is of excellent quality. It has an inverted breakfront design, with gorgeous burr walnut grain patterns on the drawer fronts and highly figured walnut on the sides and back. The back is beautifully polished, so this can be used as a free standing item. This desk sits on cabriole legs with shell carved knees, and has fine quality brass handles. The inset green leather top is hand coloured and gold tooled, it is also of great quality.
We have recently had this re-polished, it is in excellent condition for its age, with a lovely patina and gorgeous colour tone.
