This fabulous French gold metal circular box comes from the town of Bressan and is a lovely example of the unique enamel work for which this area is renowned. The midnight blue enamel is inlaid with particles of gold, in this case gold stars and a central gold and pearl motif.
The hinged lid opens to reveal a gilt interior.

The condition of this antique box is excellent, the hinge is strong and the lid closes firmly.

This wonderful box would make a luxury gilt for someone special or a beautiful item to keep.
