Antique 1926 Silver Limit pocket watch & chain.
Antique 1926 Silver Limit pocket watch & chain.
The watch has a stem-winding movement which is working nicely. Limit is a company based in Oldham in the UK who imported Swiss movements from Thommen. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which has light surface marking from use.
The watch measures 49mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the two case backs for Birmingham 1926 with the case makers mark for the Dennison Watch Case Company. The case is in nice condition with only minor marking from use..
The glass lens has some light marking from use although very acceptable.
The white enamel dial is signed Limit is in nice condition.
The watch has its original gold hands and a blued steel sub seconds hand.
The watch comes on a graduated silver albert chain with the lion passant mark on each link and a Birmingham hallmark for 1901 on the T bar. The silver football fob has Birmingham hallmark for 1949.
The chain measures 30cm including the T bar and clasp.
The chain and fob weigh 30.8 grams.
