An Incredible Small Welsh Oak Food Cupboard c1760
A superb late 18th Century Welsh Oak Deuddarn of rare and desirable small size.
Featuring beautiful fielded panels and extremely well figured grain. A country made piece of lovely quality with characterful timber throughout. From the picturesque small town of Tregaron in the foot hills of the Cambrian Mountains.
Wonderfully proportioned and very pretty with plentiful storage and looks to rival the very best of Welsh dressers, not only is this a superbly practical piece it is a statement stand alone item in itself.
In superb original condition, this early piece has been well looked after throughout its life and it has rich wonderful warm glow as a result. With only a small number of historic work holes to the sap wood to mention (treated), shelf to upper and lower have been removed and we would be happy to reinstate replacements with period timber should you require.
The depth of colour and patina is outstanding. A stunning piece in every way.
