An antique 1908 Eterna pocket watch with chain
An antique 1908 Eterna pocket watch with chain.
The watch has a stem-winding movement, Eterna 431, which is working nicely. The serial number on the movement, 1,445,176, dates the watch back to 1908. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover (which has a few surface scratches).
The watch itself measures 48mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is nickel and overall is in good condition with just a small “ding” to the hinged case back.
The watch glass is in good condition.
The watch has a white enamel dial, the visible part of which is in good condition, just a couple of short faint hairlines by number 10. Underneath the bezel there are a couple of chips to the very edge. The hour hand is a later replacement but still blued steel like the hour hand.
The watch comes with a single chain, 31cm long including the clasps.
The watch and chain will come in a new presentation box. ALL PRICES INCLUDE UK POSTAGE.
