Diminutive alabaster plafonnier of immense charm.
Fitted with a standard bayonet lamp holder & new wiring.
A very rare example made of a gorgeous veined alabaster.
Just 31 cm high & 19 cm diameter.
Beautiful light effect displayed.
Can be fitted with different wattage bulbs for alternative effect, & can of course be used with low wattage or led bulbs as required.
The alabaster has a fine, smooth finish & various natural pigments & irregularities with a rough cut, original top.
The brass is of good, heavy quality with excellent decoration.
We estimate it to be mid Victorian.
