We have for sale the perfect gift for the lover of silver jewellery. A very attractive and unusually heavy adjustable solid silver bangle or bracelet by Smith & Ewen of Frederick Street, Birmingham.

This lovely bracelet consisting of a silver band chased with a lovely foliate engraving and fabricated such that it could be adjusted to fit multiple wrist sizes up to 7.75 inches (20cm). This particular bracelet is one of the harder to find larger heavier examples consisting of band that stands 1 inch (2.5cm) high and consequently the bracelet weighs a heavy 32g (just over 1 Troy ounce). The bracelet/bangle carries full English hallmarks for Chester along makers marks for Smith & Ewen along with the date letter for 1942.

This bracelet is in a very good condition although there is some very slight rubbing of the makers mark and surface wear commensurate with its age.
