A Set Of Gilt Wood Spread Eagle Wall Lights
A superb set of spread eagle wall lights. Beautifully carved and gilded, they feature Eagles perched atop supports of foilate design and girandoles. 560mm high, 330mm wide and 170mm deep. English. Circa 1815 and later.
N.B. the central two lights in image 1 and image 2 are early 19th century, the pair on either side of image 1 are early 20th century. W J Gravener Antiques is a family owned business, started in 1963 by William who was joined by son, Mark in 1981 and continues today with the same ethos of dealing in fine quality English and Continental furniture, mirrors and decorative objects, from the 18th & 19th centuries. Now under the stewardship of Mark and his wife, Louise, we take pride in maintaining the high standards which William set more than 50 years ago.
