A Heal's 'Tilden' Oak Elbow Chair


Made of turned oak and upholstered in Yorkshire wool, this Heals's armchair was inspired by the dining antique tables designed by Philip Tilden for Winston Churchill's home at Chartwell in 1924. Heal's sold the chairs and tables as a suite throughout the 1920s and 30s.
It measures 60.5cm wide, 90cm high and 60cm deep.
In excellent, reupholstered condition.
