Very Good Early Victorian Davenport Desk
A Fine early Victorian Davenport Desk in superbly figured Mahogany. The top swivels to allow a chair to be positioned below the desk, it has four drawers to one side and a brushing slide and four faux drawers to the other, it has a small long drawer for the pens and inkwell which is spring loaded and released from inside one of the two small drawers when needed, the top lifts to reveal the two small internal drawers, the desk sits on small bun feet with brass castors, The condition is very good with a nice original polish and a new green leather inset .
