For sale we have very attractive 1950s 9ct yellow gold Cyma wristwatch.

The watch consists of a quite lovely gold tone silvered dial consisting of an outer minute/second chapter and an inner hour chapter marked with gold Arabic numerals at the 12 and 6o'clock position and gold batons at all other positions. The dial is signed CYMA, CYMAFLEX and Swiss made. The dial is in an excellent condition, although very close inspection with a loop reveals a few very tiny pinprick size age spots. The gold hour, minute and sweep second hands are all in a very good condition although once again close inspection reveals some aging. The dial sits beneath a new domed Perspex crystal. The watch is housed in a very nice 9ct solid gold case, which extends to quite decorative lugs. The inside of the case back is marked QS & S, CYMA and carries the hallmarks for London 9ct, 375 (for 9ct gold) 1955. The case is in an excellent condition other than one small indentation above the winder. The case houses a very clean Cyma 459 17 jewel Tavannes Swiss monometallic movement incorporating the Cymaflex II shock proofing system.

The watch measures just over 1 & ½ inches (approximately 4cm) from lug end to lug end and is presented on a good brown leather strap.
