2 x George V Silver Golf Teaspoons, Barker Brothers 1930

This is a charming pair of George V Sterling Silver Teaspoons designed as golf clubs. The handle of the golf club shaft attaches to the bowl, whilst the blade of the club forms the finial. They are very nicely modelled and there are no initials or personalisation making them an ideal gift for any keen golfer.
The spoons are well made in a good heavy gauge of silver by Barker Brothers Silversmiths Ltd in Birmingham and date to 1930. Founded in 1801 by Mary Barker, the firm was extremely successful for nearly 200 years before finally closing in 1992.
Condition of the spoons is good with no dings, dents or damage and just the superficial surface wear that you would expect after this period of time. Please make sure to view all the photographs.
The teaspoons are each 12.2cm / 4.8ins long and the pair together weigh a substantial 28.5g / 1oz of solid Sterling Silver.
The hallmarks on the underside of the bowls are nice and easy to read. They show the lion passant for Sterling Silver, the anchor assay mark for Birmingham, the date letter F for 1930 and the B.B.S.Ld in a shield makers' mark for Barker Brothers Silversmiths Ltd.
Shipping in the UK is £4 by Royal Mail 1st Class Signed For.
