2 x Art Deco Silver Salt Spoons, Adie Bros, 1932

This is a stylish pair of Art Deco Sterling Silver Salt Spoons. The spoons have circular bowls with Odeon style decoration at the tops of the stems. There are no initials or personalisation of any kind.
The salt spoons were made in Birmingham by Adie Brothers Ltd and date to 1932. The firm was founded in 1906 when two established Birmingham silversmiths, McKewan & Adie and E.S. Barnsley & Co, were merged under the leadership of Percy Adie to form Adie Brothers Ltd. The company was very successful and produced a wide range of silverware until the 1960s when they were absorbed into British Silverware.
Condition is good, with no dings or dents and just the superficial surface wear that you would expect with use and the passage of time. Please make sure to view all the photographs.
Each salt spoon is 5.8cm / 2.3ins long and the two together weigh in at 10.3g / 0.36oz of solid Sterling Silver.
The hallmarks, on the undersides of the bowls, are nice and clear to read. They show the lion passant for Sterling Silver, the anchor assay mark for Birmingham, the date letter H for 1932 and the distinctive A Bros Ltd makers' mark for Adie Brothers Ltd.
Shipping in the UK is £5 by Royal Mail Tracked 24.
