Impressive mid 19th.c. oak ‘Dickens’ style pedestal desk c.1870. Top with two banks of small stationery drawers over a lift top writing slope flanked with flat writing surfaces, each with a tooled leather skiver. Lockable storage space with fitted interior of drawers and pigeon holes below the slope and a drawer to each side. Raised on twin pedestals each with three drawers of graduated depth. Extensive carved and oversized mouldings which continue on the rear, turned gallery spindles and carved knobs. Mahogany drawer linings. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops. Keys supplied.
