Here is an excellent quality French double bed.

c1890.

This very elegant bed is in the Louis XV style, having wonderful Rococo designs.

Made of mahogany, having a lovely curvaceous serpentine shaped head and footboard, with very finely carved shell, fruit and scroll motifs.

With an exceptional, exquisitely carved shell cresting to the headboard.

Lovely shaped and carved side-rails, echoing the design of the footboard.

Standing on very elegant acanthus and scroll carved feet.

The mahogany has developed a warm rich colour, and excellent patina.

With custom made, solid pine bed slats.

Fits a UK standard double 4ft 6" mattress.

Very easy to assemble.

Completely dismantles into a headboard a footboard, two side-rails, the pine slats stack.

The bed will be dismantled ready for collection, we are happy to assist with loading if required.

The condition is excellent antique condition, with very minor signs of age and use.
