19th Century flame mahogany reading / maitre'd stand with a telescopic mechanism, the top having a lift up writing slop with a green leather surface decorated with gold and blind tooling, with three drawers below, one wide drawer in the center with two small drawers either side which pull out and swing round to lay flat with the side of the table, the top supported with a tuned column with a lovely quality brass collar sitting on a tri-from base with small bun feet and brass castors.
