A 19th Century Folk Art Carved Head.

Possibly from a lay figure or a fair ground with traces of original brown paint .

Naively carved this handsome chap has been well handled and has a very tactile feel to him ,unfortunately his right hand ear is missing but that just adds to his charm.

6" wide.
