This graceful styled breakfront mahogany partner’s desk was designed by Gillows, a very well-known and exceptional family of cabinet makers of the period. The desk features a lovely quarter panelled design set of doors on one side with 3 top drawers and central drawer flanked on either side with 3 graduating drawers on the reverse. The breakfront top features the original leather with a heavy rope border that is repeated around the two bottom pedestals. The panelled sides and the interior detail to the doors highlight the superb quality of the piece. The desk stands on 8 short cabriole legs with ball and claw feet on brass castors. It measures 60 in – 152.4 cm wide, 34 in – 86.5 cm deep and 30 in – 77 cm in height.
